New Music Friday!!

Thank GOODNESS it’s Friday and thank GOODNESS for some new country!! Thomas Rhett, Kip Moore, Dustin Lynch, AND Blake Shelton all released new music today. Blake Shelton’s new single “I’ll Name The Dogs” doesn’t come off of a new album while Thomas, Dustin, and Kip all have singles out now from their new albums. Thomas Rhett’s latest single “Unforgettable” comes off his album ‘Life Changes’, Kip Moore’s “More Girls Like You” comes from his ‘Slowheart’ album, and Dustin Lynch’s “Small Town Boy” comes off of his album ‘Current Mood’.

You can check out two songs from Kip Moore’s ‘Slowheart’ below!

Dustin Lynch fans will easily spot “Small Town Boy” on his new album ‘Current Mood’ but Dustin keeps the party alive on his album with songs like “I Wish You Were Beer”.

Some controversy sparked when fans of Thomas Rhett discovered the song “Leave Right Now” closely resembles an electronic dance track somewhat inspired by the Chainsmokers. Rhett said of the criticism:

“Anytime you go to a country music concert, everyone is playing hip-hop or EDM as their pre-roll. And I got tired of my intro being way cooler than my show. So why not make one of mine that can be my intro that's as cool as my show?"

If it’s any consolation for some of the disgruntled hardcore country fans, you’ll be able to find a duet of Thomas Rhett and his dad, Rhett Akins on a song called “Drink A Little Beer”. Many fans will immediately recognize Thomas Rhett’s number one single “Craving You” featuring Maren Morris on the album!

While Blake Shelton hasn’t released a new album he did release a six song EP ‘Blake Shelton (Live)’ two weeks ago. Blake’s latest single “I’ll Name The Dogs” has sparked some theories as to whether or not Shelton’s single is a jab at ex-wife Miranda Lambert. What do you think?
