Music City Minute: Mel Tillis, Jason Aldean, Sugarland, Jon Pardi

Legendary country star Mel Tillis passed away yesterday. He was 85. He'd been in poor health since having major surgery last year. The suspected cause of death is respiratory failure.

Mel was a Country Music Hall of Fame singer and songwriter, as well as an actor and comedian. He was known for his stutter, which became a trademark. He even titled his autobiography "Stutterin' Boy". Some of our favorite country stars offered their condolences:

Blake Shelton: "What a truly devastating loss. I loved Mel. I will miss him terribly."

Tim McGraw: "One of the coolest guys in country, and an extraordinary songwriter."

Billy Ray Cyrus: "Kindest man I've ever known."

In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight", Jon Pardi kind of let it slip that he and Miranda Lambert have recorded music together. He called it "secret information", said it "sounds awesome"…and then blurted out, "It might come about in the third record."

Jon Pardi is also gearing up to hit the road with Miranda Lambert on her 'Livin' Like Hippies' 2018 tour.

As we officially enter baby watch for Jason Aldean's son Memphis, Aldean's wife, Brittany, shared several pictures from the couple's recent maternity photo shoot together. The stunning outdoor pictures were taken next to a tranquil creek, with Russell Dickerson's wife, Kailey, actually serving as the photographer. Some of the photos show the couple walking hand in hand by the creek and kissing, while others show Brittany in a beautiful embroidered white gown as she holds her baby bump.
