Music City Minute: Aaron Lewis, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen

We have a ton of Aaron Lewis fans here and I know he gained a lot more after he performed at the Y100 8 Man Jam a few years ago. Well, I've got great news, Aaron Lewis announced he's going on tour!
"My music is very first person, very autobiographical," said Aaron. "It's from my life experiences that I draw inspiration for my songs. This acoustic tour gives me the opportunity to share the stories behind my songs with my fans and play them stripped down, like I wrote them."

Aaron will be here in SA January 25th at the Majestic so you know it's going to be amazing.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday December 7th at 10 a.m. Fans who purchase tickets will receive a physical copy of The State I'm In at a later date.

"People" asked Blake Shelton to answer a few questions for their "Voice Coaches on Blast" feature. Here are the highlights.

His first job was roofing houses in his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma. Quote, "I did it for two summers. It made me want to be a country singer."

He said his favorite hobby is deer hunting… his favorite thing to "cook" is nachos… his favorite sports team is the Arizona Cardinals… and the first concert he ever attended was Sawyer Brown.

As for his early tastes in music, turns out he liked to rock, he said, "The first album I ever bought with my own money was Ted Nugent, 'Cat Scratch Fever'."

In completely different Blake Shelton news: He's hosting NBC's "Elvis All-Star Tribute Special", which will air February 17th. It'll celebrate the 50th anniversary of The King's 1968 "Comeback Special" and the list of performers will be announced soon.

And in case you missed it in November we told you Jake Owen announced he was having a baby with his girlfriend Erica Hartlein, well apparently Jake accidentally let it slip that they are having a baby girl! Turns out that’s exactly what Jake wanted, he said, "I wouldn't say it's a jinx, but I would say I think I manifested this myself because after having Pearl, people asked me what it's like to have a little girl and I always said that if I could have a hundred more I would. And so, maybe this is...2 down 98 to go."

Jake also shared that he will be joining his girlfriend in giving up drinking alcohol during her pregnancy. He said, "[Not drinking] sounded like a good idea at the time. I was like, 'This is going to be great! Both of us will go without drinking for nine months. I will be completely clear-minded for when this baby gets here."
