Health Club Implements New Rule Banning News Networks

Exercise is considered one of the best forms of stress relief and health club, Life Time Fitness seems to agree! The massive health chain made the decision to discontinue showing cable news networks in their facilities. These networks which include the likes of CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN will be replaced by channels, USA, A&E, Discovery, and HGTV.

Gym goers will still be able to access their preferred news sources through the facility’s Wi-Fi according to Life Time’s senior director of public relations and internal communications, Natalie Bushaw.

The move is likely to remove the subject of politics from the gym to reduce debates, conflicting views, and create a positive and healthy environment. Could other fitness chains follow suit? What do you think of the decision to ban news networks showing at the gym? Sound off below!
