Announced ACM Honors Performers & Jake Owen’s Glen Campbell Tribute

Yesterday we shared the news about the passing of country legend Glen Campbell, of course a ton of country artists have been paying tribute to the icon on social media. Jake Owen posted an acoustic version of himself doing “Wichita Lineman” as a part of his tribute.

The first round of performers for the 11th Annual ACM Honors ceremony has been revealed and includes George Strait, Kelsea Ballerini, Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Thomas Rhett, and Hillary Scott! These artists will perform at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium on August 23, with the ceremony set to be broadcast on September 15th at 8pm on CBS.

The Annual ACM Honors ceremony is evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards.

George Strait, Kelsea Ballerini, and Toby Keith are also among this year's Special Award recipients, along with Reba, Dolly Parton, Eric Church, and Willie Nelson.

Speaking of George Strait, we all know he’s been doing shows in Vegas and Cam, who was at our 8 Man Jam last year has been his opening act. Well turns out she says she gets so nervous around him that she can hardly speak. She says, “When I see him I kind of look the other way because I'm not ready for him to acknowledge me as a real person. I have my phone out as he's walking by . . . that kind of stuff." awwww Cam is so sweet, she’s just like us!
